Our Wedding

Taylor and Jenna met in third grade in Mrs. Roberts' class at Valhalla Elementary. Taylor was all about Jenna's curly red hair, and Jenna thought Taylor had the world's prettiest eyes; first crushes quickly ensued. They spent the next decade or so dancing around big feelings and being too nervous to act on them (shout out to a "date" to watch Phantom of the Opera).

There were MANY horrifyingly embarrassing diary entries along these lines between 1999 and 2008. Fortunately(?) Unfortunately(?) Taylor's entries were lost to time, but Jenna still has enough for both of them.

Although they never got together as teenagers, Taylor refused to give up and consistently made sure Jenna knew he was still looking for his chance. He even kept her school photo from freshman year in his wallet for all that time and confessed it to her once while he was drunk in Mexico in their 20s. She realized this might be more than a long standing crush and started to see him a little differently.

They both had a lot of growing up to do before they were ready to be together, but everything changed when that first kiss finally happened. They now have an incredibly happy and supportive life together, and Taylor proposed at the top of the hill in the park they used to walk through in high school on the anniversary of the day they first met. They celebrated back at Valhalla, where it all started.

To mark the 28th anniversary of that meeting and life coming full circle, Taylor and Jenna will be getting married at the Jefferson Street Mansion in Benicia, CA in September of this year and hope you can be there!

There is plenty of free parking available behind the venue. If you are arriving via RideshareRideshare can be tricky in this area, especially in the evening. We highly recommend scheduling your Uber/Lyft for the end of the reception ahead of time.

Is this a kid-friendly event?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including children at the ceremony or reception unless otherwise noted on your invitation envelope and RSVP group. Thank you for understanding!

What's the dress code?

Formal attire, black tie optional

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking behind the venue. However, if you plan to party (and we hope you do!), we highly recommend scheduling an Uber or Lyft for the end of the reception as on-demand ride share services in the area can be very spotty, especially at night.

What will the weather be like?

Highs for September typically range from 79°F to 84°F, lows are usually in the mid to high 50s. The ceremony is outside (in the shade) and the reception is in a tent on site
